We aim to use personal information only for the purpose for which it was provided or for another purpose permitted by law. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels and similar technologies to understand site performance, remember preferences, measure campaigns and improve our services. These tools may collect technical information such as IP address, device or browser information, pages viewed and approximate location.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect parts of the site's functionality.
Marketing communications
Where we send commercial electronic messages, we will do so in accordance with New Zealand law. Our messages will identify the sender and provide a way to unsubscribe. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
Sharing information
We may share personal information with trusted service providers that help us operate our business or deliver services, such as hosting, cloud, email, analytics, advertising, payment, communication and software providers. We only disclose information where reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, or where required or permitted by law.
Overseas service providers
Some of the technology providers we use may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where a disclosure of personal information outside New Zealand is subject to Information Privacy Principle 12, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient provides safeguards comparable to those required by New Zealand law, or otherwise comply with the Privacy Act.
Keeping and protecting it
We take reasonable safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure. No internet or storage system is completely risk-free, but we use security measures appropriate to the information and the services involved.
We keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business purposes, or to meet legal, accounting or contractual requirements. We then delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it where appropriate.
Privacy breaches
If a privacy breach occurs, we will assess it and take appropriate steps. Where the Privacy Act requires notification of a notifiable privacy breach, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as required.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if you believe it is wrong. You may also ask us to delete information. While the Privacy Act does not create a general right to deletion in every circumstance, we will consider deletion requests and remove information where appropriate and where we are not required or reasonably entitled to retain it.
To make a privacy request, contact our Privacy Officer at hello@airea.co.nz. We may need to verify your identity before providing access to information.
